Hi there! My name's Ahad Rauf.

I'm an Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University interested in micrometer-scale robots and high-speed control systems. I enjoy analyzing the diverse fabrication and physical dynamics for robotics at different size scales, from developing a testing station for autonomous vehicle-grade LiDAR units to building a prosthetic robotic arm to designing a cigar-sized rocket. I especially enjoy microrobots for the unique challenges in manufacturing and controlling structures at such small scales.

My current research is with Professor Sean Follmer in the SHAPE Lab. I earned my B.S. degree at UC Berkeley in May 2020, with a major in Electrical Engineering and minor in Physics.
